It leans towards realism, using weighted and unfinished outlines in the leaves to create depth. The shading is high contrast, and the designs have solid outlines. The composition varies in regards to spacing between pieces. Some pieces touch and overlap, while others stand alone. The small perch fry above the elbow ditch was one of the final filler pieces of this project, used to break up a chunk of negative space.
